You would think that me refusing to take a guy somewhere with me would be a MAJOR hint that I have no interest in him whatsoever. I get that it's weird that I don't want to hang out as "just friends," but when you're a single girl being told that this guy who "only wants to hang out" is looking for a wife then... no thank you.
